Spout uses one stablecoin: USDC on Solana. Every loan, lending deposit, repayment, Spout fee and payout is in USDC.

## Three ways to add USDC

**Send USDC on Solana**: Withdraw USDC from an exchange or another wallet to your Spout wallet address. Choose the Solana network when you send. USDC sent on another network to a Solana address can be lost.

**Buy USDC with a card**: Use the card option in the app's wallet menu. A payments partner processes the purchase and sends USDC on Solana to your wallet. The partner's fees and limits apply.

**Deposit from another chain**: Use Deposit USDC in the wallet menu to move funds from another blockchain. The app routes them to USDC on Solana in your wallet.

## Add some SOL too

You need a small amount of SOL for network fees. Most exchanges let you withdraw SOL to Solana directly.

## Checking your balance

Your USDC and SOL balances show in the wallet menu. Tokenized stocks you hold show in Portfolio.
