Some features may require identity verification. Lending does not. If a feature you use needs it, the app tells you and walks you through it.

## How it works

- Start Tap Verify identity when the app asks. Verification is run by a specialist identity provider in its own secure flow.
- Submit Follow the provider's steps. The provider collects your documents in its own flow, and Spout receives the result of the check.

- Review Some checks go to manual review, which takes longer.
- Verified Your wallet is marked as verified onchain. The onchain record holds only a verified flag, never your personal details.

## What you might see

| Status | What it means | What to do |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Verify identity | You have not started | Start the check |
| Continue verification | You started but did not finish | Pick up where you left off |
| Verification in review | Your documents are being reviewed | Wait; nothing to do |
| Retry verification | The check failed or expired | Start a new check |
| Verified | You are done | Nothing to do |

## More than one wallet

If you use several wallets, you can link them to the same verified identity, so you only verify once.
