Opening a Position, Step by Step

  1. Open Borrow

Pick an asset. The list shows each asset's price and your available tokens.

  2. Set your collateral

Choose how many tokens to deposit. If you already have a position in this asset, they are added to it.

  3. Set your loan with the LTV slider

It runs from 0% to 50%, with stops at 12.5%, 25%, 37.5% and 50%. Lower is safer.

  4. Check the summary

Before you confirm, the app shows what you receive, the annual interest (0%), the estimated borrower cost a year, and the health factor and liquidation price for the position you are about to open.

  5. Confirm in your wallet

The deposit and the borrow happen in a single transaction.

  6. Done

USDC arrives in your wallet and the position appears under your positions.

What the summary means

You receive
the USDC that will arrive in your wallet.
Annual interest
0%.
Estimated borrower cost a year
an estimate of the upside you may give up, explained in What Borrowing Really Costs You.
Health factor and liquidation price
how far the stock can fall before a sale, for the position you are about to open.

Tips

  • Start below the maximum. On NVDA, with a 58.8% threshold, borrowing 30% instead of 50% means the stock can fall about 49% instead of 15% before liquidation.
  • Keep SOL for fees so you can always repay or add collateral quickly.
  • Check pool availability. If the lending pool is at its borrowing limit, the app tells you; try again later or borrow less.
